Recommended gear

Comfortable walking shoes: Flat, cushioned shoes for paved and compacted dirt paths around the sacred garden.
Sun hat and sunscreen: Essential during hot months on the exposed Terai plain to prevent sunburn and heat fatigue.
Light layers: Mornings can be cool in winter/spring; a light layer helps during dawn prayers.
Refillable water bottle: Staying hydrated is important; tap water may not be drinkable so use filtered fills.
