A flat, wind-scoured bay opens before you: shallow turquoise water stretching toward the horizon, trade winds gathering like a hand lifting a sail. Your instructor briefs you on the shore, voice clipped over the surf, then guides you into the kite zone. The motorboat stays close, radio in your ear, coaching each launch, relaunch and first glide until the water seems to push you forward.
