Travel back in time with us on this private tour to learn about the life of Anne Frank and Jewish history in Amsterdam. Starting in the 16th century, Amsterdam became the safe place for Jewish families fleeing from Southern and Eastern Europe. We will also help you to get tickets for the Anne Frank House. You will then be able to explore the Anne Frank House at your own pace, unguided.
Where are we going?
Our journey starts in the historic Jewish Quarter where in the 16th Century Jews from the Iberian peninsula fled to Amsterdam to avoid persecution. Together, we will explore the old Jewish Quarter. On our route, we will see the following:
You’ll also discover several hidden gems along the canals, whilst hearing stories that will make history feel within arm’s reach. After a refreshing beer or coffee in our favourite restaurant, we will take a tram to the city centre.
After a short stroll, we arrive at the Westerkerk, the building Anne could see from the attic window. We will see the famous church before our final destination the Anne Frank House. We can advise you on how to get tickets for the Anne Frank House.
If you book this tour we will also assist you in getting tickets to go inside the house.
Plan to arrive at least 10 minutes before the tour begins at Mr. Visserplein 3 to get fitted with your headset and gear.
The tour operates rain or shine; pack a lightweight rain poncho and layered clothes suitable for changing Amsterdam weather.
