Cape May, New Jersey, is a prime destination for anglers seeking an authentic, private fishing experience along the Atlantic coast. Vetcraft Sportfishing offers expertly guided fishing charters that deliver a memorable day on the water, targeting species like flounder, seabass, blues, and more. Located in one of the most scenic coastal towns in the United States, Cape May's unique geography features sandy beaches, coastal bays, and offshore reefs that create diverse and productive fishing grounds.
Vetcraft Sportfishing stands out as a leading operator in this region because of Captain Harv's hands-on approach, extensive local knowledge, and personal investment in each trip. Unlike larger charters staffed by crews who may only have surface-level experience, here you get the owner-captain himself operating the Vetcraft boat, ensuring you maximize your fishing time and learning.
The boat is well maintained with all necessary gear supplied — rods, bait, and tackle are included, so even beginners can jump in with ease. Captain Harv’s patient, detailed guidance through the process makes it easy to catch fish, even for first-timers. His ability to adapt quickly by moving to new spots and adjusting strategies guarantees a productive day on the water, no matter the conditions.
Cape May’s offshore reefs are ecological hotspots, nurturing abundant fish populations, and Vetcraft takes great pride in sustainable fishing practices while providing a top-quality adventure. The area is rich in both recreation and natural history, known historically as a maritime hub with deep ties to fishing and coastal navigation.
