Kitchener Island’s botanical garden dates to the late 19th century when British administrators curated plantings to study which species adapted to the Nile’s microclimate.
Stay on marked paths and avoid picking plants; supporting guided, low-impact visits helps fund upkeep and protects the garden’s introduced and native species.
