Whether you have dreamed about experiencing a historic balloon adventure or a romantic flight for two, enjoying a private hot air balloon ride with Elevated Ballooning is the way to float.

Your Balloon Adventure When flying with Elevated Ballooning you can expect the solitude of a personal experience. We fly smaller balloons, providing a more intimate relationship with the science of ballooning for you and your fellow passengers. Our baskets can accommodate parties of up to four people; larger parties can be accommodated, but may be divided into several balloons.

Elevated Ballooning offers daily morning balloon flights above Idaho’s majestic Teton Valley. Elevated’s experience includes a shuttle from accommodations located in the Victor, Driggs and Tetonia areas (there is a meeting location in Driggs for those traveling from outside the area). You will then watch the assembly of Elevated Ballooning’s gentle giants. Don’t be afraid to ask to help if you want to have a more hands on experience. Our skilled pilots will then navigate the valley and winds for approximately an hour-long ride.

Pilots, Flight, and Landing Info!

Pilots Our very experienced commercial pilots have over forty years of ballooning experience combined, on several continents. All of our pilots and balloons are fully certified by the Federal Aviation Administration. With the Wyoming Balloon Company, safety is always first.

Flight Each flight is custom tailored to the weather conditions of the day by our experienced aeronauts. We may soar from 1500 to 4000 feet above the launch, depending upon conditions. But whether a mile or a millimeter above the meadow, that lighter-than-air feeling stays with you, and may last long after the gentle landing.

Landing Soft winds, gentle landings... We fly on the lee side of the Tetons, where winds are generally light and marvelously varied. Differing winds may occur at different altitudes, which our pilots navigate deftly. Our landings take place upon Snake River Ranch, specific location varying by the winds of the day.

Know Before You Go

• As it is cool in the mornings, we recommend that you dress warmly, in layers. You will be quite comfortable in the balloon, as there is no wind chill, and - oh yes - a heater. Summer mornings in the mountains can be in the low 40s F at the start, and warming up to 60s-70s later on.
• Please wear closed toed shoes. We recommend wearing the type of footwear you would use for hiking, as this is an outdoor activity.
• We encourage hats and sunscreen.
• Video equipment, cameras and binoculars are welcome.

Please be prepared to set aside up to 4 hours of your morning for this adventure.

All participants will be required to sign a waiver prior to your flight.
