About

This tour combines a private excursion to one of the most charming cities in the Netherlands, Utrecht, with a visit to the largest castle in the whole country. And of course, you will be accompanied by one of our professional guides!

In Utrecht we will visit its canals Oudegracht and Nieuwegracht, famous for their unique shape in the world, with quays, wineries, bars and restaurants at the height of the water.

Through its labyrinthine streets we will discover the Romanesque cross-shaped churches on the city map, being the first time in the history of Christianity that the city plan is realized according to the situation of the churches.

We will admire the famous Tower of the Dom, which is the highest point of the city and the highest historical monument in the whole country and other historic buildings such as the Academiegebouw, the Pandhof or the place where the Treaty of Utrecht was signed.

Then we will visit the Castle of Haar, with a medieval air, but in fact it was built at the beginning of the twentieth century and was designed by the famous architect Pierre Cuypers, known for designing other emblematic buildings such as the Rijksmuseum or Amsterdam Central Station.

In the 1960s it became a place where the Van Zuylen family welcomed the international jet set: from Brigitte Bardot and Coco Chanel to Maria Callas and Roger Moore.

As it is a private visit, the client can enjoy free time to take photos or make purchases. The itinerary can be agreed at the beginning of the tour to adapt it to the wishes of the client, always considering the duration of the tour.
