On this private excursion from Amsterdam you will visit the city of Bruges, one of the jewels of the Flemish region of Belgium. After an approximate journey of about 3 hours it will be possible to enter one of the most magical cities in Europe, strolling through its historic centre, declared a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. For just over an hour, one of our expert guides will introduce the most relevant aspects of Bruges by showing its splendid churches, as well as its beautiful canals and alleys and diving into the medieval atmosphere of a city that seems to have stopped in time.
Afterwards, you will have free time to taste the delicious Belgian mussels or their exclusive chocolates, refresh yourself with some of their famous beers, go shopping or discover another perspective of the city with a boat ride through its canals, among other options offered by a city that will certainly not leave anyone indifferent.
Then we will head to what was the largest medieval city in Europe north of the Alps, the temporary residence of the Counts of Flanders and where Charles V, Ghent, was born. A city full of history, palaces and stately houses. We will know among others, the Town Hall, the Cathedral of San Bavon, the Church of San Miguel, the Guild House of the masons and the Castle of the Counts of Flanders.
