Lessons are at Turn Their Heads, Nashville's only Country Dance Academy, open 7 days a week for lessons and social dancing. Our 3-studio facility offers the best learning environment and classy touches that will make your lesson memorable.

You will be dancing with your instructor. All of our instructors can teach and perform both the lead and follow roles in the dance. If you have a preference of a male or female partner, please indicate that in your booking info.

Country swing is sometimes mistakenly called two step but is a different dance sometimes combined with two step. Country swing is the most popular partner dance in Nashville because it only requires a small amount of space, can be done to any music and doesn't require rhythm. Two step requires a large dance floor and specific music so it is performed by very few people here in Nashville. If you want a dance you can do while in Nashville, or at any social event anywhere in the world, country swing should be your first choice.

To learn additional moves and continue building upon your foundation, we recommend scheduling a second lesson later that day or the next day. We'll step up your swing game with moves such as the Bowtie, Side Lean, Princess Dip or any move or combo you've seen on the socials. The sky is the limit with this super easy and fun dance!
