Palmetto Carriage Works is the oldest carriage tour company in Charleston, and has developed the greatest carriage experience in the city! A Palmetto Carriage tour offers a blend of knowledge, wit, humor and history, and is exciting and ever changing, a seamless fusion of 19th century conveyance in a 21st century city.

For those who want to experience Charleston in a private carriage, our elegant vis-a-vis carriages offer small groups the wonderful opportunity to see the city in a more intimate setting with their own personal tour guide. These carriages are available for groups of 1 to 4 adults and children, and up to 2 lap children. For groups of 5 to 8 looking to do a private tour, please select the Wagonette option during checkout!


Rates

• Private Carriage: $325 Up to 4 seated guests & 2 lap children under the age of 2 • Wagonette: $450 5-8 passengers

Restrictions

• Limited number of passengers allowed on carriage. These carriages can hold private groups of up to either 4 or 5-8 seated passengers, which include adults and any children.

• Limited availability for private carriages. Due to the limited amount of private carriages, the start/end time of your tour is not flexible. Your tour hour will start and end at the time you have scheduled, for this reason we recommend that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your start time. If you are late your tour will still end at the designated time in order to keep the carriage on schedule.
