A pale swell lifts the bow and the lagoon breathes under a ribbon of blue—this is Bora Bora by private boat. Within minutes the island’s volcanic cone slips astern and the water takes over, daring you into shallow coral gardens where rays hover like dark kites and reef fish scatter in quicksilver schools.

Yes—masks, snorkels and fins are supplied; you may bring your own if you prefer a personal fit.
Sighted reef sharks are typically small and non-aggressive; guides maintain distance and do not feed wildlife to avoid conditioning behavior.
Children are welcome but must be supervised; infants should sit on laps and non-swimmers should use flotation devices and stay near the boat.
Tours may be canceled for safety in rough or stormy conditions—operators generally refund if canceled at least 24 hours prior per policy.
The lagoon formed around an extinct volcanic island; local communities have long used the reef for subsistence fishing and cultivated black pearls are a regional craft.
Operators emphasize no‑feeding policies and reef‑safe products; visitors are asked not to touch coral and to support local conservation initiatives when possible.
