Located in the heart of New Braunfels, Texas, Red Beard Boats, Boat Rentals & More (by appointment only) offers a unique private outdoor boating experience perfect for adventurers looking to explore the beautiful waterways of the Texas Hill Country. Known widely for their exceptional service and personalized trips, this business provides a refreshing alternative to the usual river float trips with private pontoon boat charters, tubing, kayaking, and even wakeboarding – all tailored to your group's pace and interests.
New Braunfels is famous for its crystal-clear rivers, scenic bluffs, and abundant wildlife. Visitors can traverse portions of the Guadalupe or Comal Rivers, depending on water levels, and enjoy the distinctive limestone formations that line the riverbanks. These waterways offer more than just stunning views: swimming spots, hidden coves, and tranquil areas away from the crowds create an intimate outdoor setting. Red Beard Boats elevates this experience with knowledgeable captains like Red Beard and Chris, who expertly guide groups to lesser-known local swimming holes and encourage a laid-back atmosphere enhanced by music and fun on the water.
What sets this company apart is the personal touch. Unlike typical crowded tours, all excursions are private and require appointments, which means you get undivided attention, flexible routes, and custom experiences like sunset cruises or tubing lessons for beginners. Families and groups enjoy the safety and accommodating nature of the crew—the boats come equipped with Bluetooth speakers and everything needed for a memorable day on the waves.
New Braunfels itself is steeped in German heritage, and the rivers have been local favorite spots for generations, now increasingly cherished for sustainable tourism and preserving natural habitats. The area’s flora includes cypress trees and wildflowers that bloom vividly through each season. Red Beard Boats helps visitors create long-lasting memories through an authentic and high-quality adventure that honors the spirit of the region’s outdoor lifestyle.
