Small-group, captain-led charters for up to five guests — dolphin watching, island beaches, sunset sails, and waterfront dining.
Barrier Island Adventures and Sailing operates private boat charters based in Savannah, Georgia. The company offers a range of small-group cruises that focus on the region's barrier islands, coastal wildlife, and waterfront dining options. Trips include private visits to the National Wildlife Refuge on Wassaw Island (three-hour option) and Ossabaw Island (five-hour option), dolphin sightseeing cruises, scenic two-hour river tours, sunset booze cruises, and multi-hour beach excursions to uninhabited barrier islands.
Dining-focused charters visit nearby waterfront restaurants such as AJ's Dockside, The Wyld, and Coco's Sunset Grill for a four-hour coastal restaurants cruise, or offer a five-hour Harbortown and Daufuskie dining route including stops like The Salty Dog Cafe and Old Daufuskie Crab Company. Each cruise accommodates up to five passengers, providing an intimate, private experience.
Captain Michael leads dolphin sightseeing trips and navigates the local waterways to locate marine wildlife and quiet island landings. Barrier Island Adventures and Sailing emphasizes private charters, small groups, and direct access to islands and coastal dining by boat. Boats run seasonal schedules from Savannah and are suited for birdwatching, swimming, shoreline exploration, and skyline or marshland viewing.
Reservations are made per charter, with durations ranging from two hours to five hours depending on the itinerary. Barrier Island Adventures and Sailing is featured on The Adventure Collective and presents boat tours designed for travelers seeking private, flexible access to Savannah's islands, wildlife, and waterfront restaurants. Tour options accommodate photography, family outings, special occasions, and personalized itineraries upon request. Seasonal availability varies with local conditions.
“Every outing is organized with local river knowledge, basic safety instruction, and equipment checks before departure.”
