Private Axe Throwing at Laserguys Activities is a focused, convivial outdoor session for groups who want a hands-on, slightly competitive taste of woodland sport. Located at Laserguys Activities, Blandford Forum DT11 9HT, United Kingdomtt, the booking centers on a private 60-minute lane time for up to eight people, led by a dedicated instructor and followed by a relaxed picnic period. The site keeps things direct: a cleared throwing range with timber targets, a variety of axes, spades and specialty throwers, and a sheltered picnic area where teams can swap scores and eat cake. This experience stands out in Dorset because it translates a traditional skill into an accessible group activity. The throwing lanes give clear sightlines and wooden backstops set against open grass and occasional scrub; the target boards are set on pine and softwood frames that show the worn grain and impact marks that tell the story of each session. Instruction emphasizes safety and technique—stance, release, and recovery—so beginners are quickly comfortable while more competitive guests test accuracy through progressive games and timed challenges. Practical details make planning simple: the session runs an hour and includes equipment; minimum participant age is ten; bookings start from £183.75 per group (8 participants) including fees; free on-site parking is available; and the operator allows number adjustments up to the event, with a deposit to secure your slot. The format suits birthday parties, stag or hen groups, corporate team-building, and friends seeking a memorable outdoor hour without a long hike. Why choose this venue? Laserguys Activities pairs a compact, well-run program with an outdoor setting that feels intentionally informal—close to Blandford Forum but clearly outdoors, so weather matters. The team operates year-round in most conditions and scales challenges to skill level, which means novices leave with usable technique while experienced throwers still find a competitive edge. Beyond the throwing itself, the sheltered picnic area is a thoughtful inclusion: it gives groups privacy for cake, shared food, or an after-session debrief without scrambling for nearby facilities. If you’re packing for the day, bring sturdy shoes, weather layers, and a water bottle; leave metal jewellery and loose scarves at home. For a one-hour burst of physical focus, friendly rivalry, and outdoors time near Blandford Forum, Private Axe Throwing at Laserguys Activities is a compact, well-executed adventure that’s easy to slot into a Dorset visit. All participants must complete a waiver sent by email before arrival; organisers recommend sharing the digital form via WhatsApp to speed check-in.
