You hit the north coast road and the salt air loosens the shoulders before the hills grab your attention. Within 30 minutes the highway gives way to narrow lanes threaded through small villages, and the engine growl of your ATV becomes the conversation with the landscape. From 1,100 feet above the Caribbean, the sea glints like a distant promise; underfoot the trail alternates between red clay, rutted switchbacks, and shaded forest gullies.
