The van rounds a hairpin and the coastline drops away — vertical limestone cliffs punctuated by lemon terraces and tiny towns clinging to sun-baked rock. Saltwind pushes at the windows; the driver points out Capri’s silhouette and the Isle of Capri seems to float like a cliffside island daring you to get closer.

Light-to-moderate fitness: ability to handle repeated stair climbs and uneven cobbles for short 30–60 minute walks.
You typically choose up to three towns from Sorrento, Positano, Ravello and Amalfi; the private format lets you customize stops based on preference.
The vehicle is comfortable for short transfers, but town centers have many stairs and cobbled streets—accessibility can be limited once on foot.
Bottled water and live commentary are included; meals are not included so you can choose local cafés or seaside restaurants during stops.
Private tours are flexible within the scheduled day: you can extend time in a preferred town, though this may reduce the number of stops.
The Amalfi Coast grew from medieval maritime republics; Amalfi itself was a major naval and trading power from the 9th to 11th centuries.
Heavy tourism strains roads, water and waste systems; practice Leave No Trace, support local businesses, and avoid single‑use plastics.
Driveritaly operates guided outdoor trips and adventures with an emphasis on safety, stewardship, and memorable experiences.
