The tour begins with the hum of a tiny electric golf car easing through Rome's morning traffic, cobbles nudging the wheels as fountains and wide piazzas unfold around you. The guide points out the bronze sweep of Vittorio Emanuele II’s monument at Piazza Venezia, then steers toward the Colosseum where you circle the arena and feel the scale of ancient engineering from the street rather than inside the ticket lines.
