You stand ankle-deep on a stretch of Pacific sand, the ocean pulling at your toes and the first set of waves daring you to step beyond the break. A single coach watches from the shore, timing sets and calling cues. In 90 focused minutes you move through dryland pop-up practice into shoulder-high, rideable waves beneath a wide California sky.
