History

Agadir’s modern waterfront was largely rebuilt after the 1960 earthquake; the Kasbah (Agadir Oufella) ruins above the city date to earlier centuries and offer visible reminders of the area’s past.

Conservation

Coastal tourism puts pressure on marine life and beaches—use reef-safe sunscreen, take trash ashore, and avoid chasing or feeding wildlife to minimize disturbance.

Adventure tips

Confirm your start timeBoat runs between 10:00–18:00 but this private trip requires you to call ahead to lock in your preferred departure time.

Sun protection is a mustBring SPF 30+ reef-safe sunscreen, a brimmed hat and UV sunglasses—the Atlantic reflection intensifies exposure even on overcast days.

Arrive early for a safety briefingPlan to arrive 15 minutes before departure to receive lifevest instructions and boarding directions from the crew.

Seasickness precautionsIf you get motion sick, take medication before boarding and sit mid-boat where motion is least noticeable.

Recommended gear

Sunscreen (reef‑safe): Protects skin from strong coastal sun and helps reduce impact on marine life.
Light wind jacket: Shore breeze and spray can make the hour feel cooler, especially late afternoon.
Non-slip shoes: Helps with safe boarding and movement on deck.
Waterproof camera or phone case: Keeps gear dry while capturing coastal views and wildlife.
