About This Adventure

Walk through native Ohia tree forest to the tea field and enjoy our fresh natural farmed artisan green teas and tea snacks in the tea field.

Duration - 2.5 Hour Tour

Walk in the tea field

We will walk through tea fields surrounded by native Ohia forest and various fruit trees. You can observe how tea plants grow and learn the basics of tea picking. You may also notice some wild orchids, seasonal flowers and fruits. Occasionally, farm animals come and greet you.

Premium Tea Experience

Some people describe the experience as one form of tea ceremony. It is based on Traditional Japanese style tea ceremony. It is guided, in a casual setting. Tea ceremony experience is not required, but you will learn a few simple steps to appreciate tea using your senses.

In this quiet experience we would like to emphasize the beauty of being present. You will learn to pay attention to the subtle details of aroma and flavor. Our intention is to share the experience of being on the farm, immersed in simple beauty of nature, away from the busy-ness of life. Please note that the farm is rustic. Walking paths are gravel, uneven, and sometimes steep. There are no wifi and cellular services. We wish for you to come away from the experience with a deeper appreciation for natural farming, green teas, and for your own senses.

We aim to share our learning and appreciation of tea. We hope you will take time to find a deeper connection with nature and an appreciation for the way of tea.

Enhance Your Tea Experience

It helps us to know your background knowledge in tea, and what tea you like to drink so we can tailor your tea experience to better suit you. Please feel free to share your understanding of tea in appointment notes. “Private party” booking allows more flexibility to your group’s particular interest. We’ve had visitors with varying degrees from beginning tea drinkers who can’t yet brew their tea quite right to serious tea enthusiasts and professionals. They all seem to gain better understanding of natural tea.

Food allergy?

We serve light tea snacks to go with our green tea. They contain fruits, nuts and gluten. Please let us know if you are allergic to some ingredients. We’ll do our best to accommodate your condition.
