In this workshop on olive oil I will explain the process of producing olive oil, from picking up to the wine press, to taking care to produce an extra virgin olive oil and what information we should take into consideration on a label of olive oil in purchase.
We will learn how to distinguish and get to know the different categories of olive oil: Virgin, Virgin, and Refined. Then we will have a tasting of 4 extra Portuguese virgin olive oils with international awards and also of small Portuguese producers of recognized quality and 1 Virgin olive oil and 1 refined olive oil to see their differences.
The event may be in glass, as in the specialty contests, or sipping good bread and olive oil, discovering the smell of tomato or fresh herb and feeling the bitter, spicy or olive jam. Above all, it will be an experience of aromas and flavors from North to South Portugal through olive oil.
After booking we will send all the details of the reservation, as well as the location and the contact of the farmer.
If you wish to propose another day or time for the experience, send me us a message and we will do our best to reschedule, or we can include one more experience for all day.
