Adventure tips

Arrive early for boardingIf you’re joining from Halong, arrive at Tuan Chau Marina at least 30 minutes before check‑in to avoid missing the catamaran; Hanoi pickups have scheduled windows.

Prepare for sun and sprayBring reef‑safe sunscreen and a hat—reflected sun off the water intensifies exposure even on cloudy days.

Wear non‑slip footwearBoarding and getting into kayaks can be slick; closed‑toe, non‑slip shoes reduce the risk of falls.

If you get seasick, medicate earlyTake motion‑sickness medication at least 30–60 minutes before departure; calmer waters don’t guarantee a smooth ride on open stretches.

Recommended gear

Dry bag (small): Keeps phone, wallet, and spare clothes dry during kayaking and transfers.
Reef‑safe sunscreen: Protects skin while minimizing harm to marine life around caves and swimming spots.
Non‑slip water shoes: Provides grip on wet decks and during kayak entry and exit.
Light wind layer: Blocks evening chill and spray during late‑afternoon cruising.
