What is Crack Shot 1.0?

Colorado Long Range Shooting a target to 600 yards (5 football fields to include the in zone) and beyond is rewarding, especially to hunters that may want the tools necessary to effectively and ethically harvest big game beyond their current confidence.

Our Crack Shot 1.0 is your first step in Colorado Long Range training. This is a practical long range course which is the application of shooting techniques that enable a shooter to engage targets at an unspecified distance.   The distance a shooter can confidently engage a target is based on the capability of the gun, round, and the largest factor, the shooter. Although there is no specified distance for Practical Long-Range, a student can expect to hit a target that is 1.5 times the size of a Minute of Angle out to 600 yards (548 meters).  In other terms, a shooter can expect to hit a 9” steel target with confidence over a ¼ mile away.
