The sea greets you with a hard, bright edge as the high-speed boat slips off the pier and pushes toward Cozumel’s southern shore. Salt spray stamps the air, and within minutes the reef appears as a living map under turquoise water—patches of coral and swirls of parrotfish that move like punctuation marks. At El Cielo, shallow sand flats studded with starfish create a calm, shallow stage; beyond them the reef drops into channels alive with color.

Participants should be comfortable in the water and able to swim; basic snorkeling skills are helpful but guides provide instruction and flotation devices are available.
A light beach snack and refreshments are provided after snorkeling; this is not a full restaurant meal—plan accordingly if you have a large appetite.
