Cascade Caverns® in Boerne, Texas, is a historic cave system and campground situated on 103 acres of native Texas Hill Country habitat. The site offers a mix of outdoor recreation and guided interpretive experiences, including daily cave tours that lead visitors through five distinct underground rooms and highlight formations such as the Diamond Ceiling and Giant Molar.
Cascade Caverns operates an active campground with multiple site types: Power & Water sites, Full Hookup sites, Power Only sites, and Tent Camp sites. The campground includes miles of hiking trails, picnic areas, essential amenities, and complimentary WiFi at designated areas, providing a convenient base for both short stays and extended visits near the Interstate.
Educational and group programming is available. Group Daily Downunder Tours and School Group tours emphasize the cave’s long human and natural history — from Lipan Apache connections to 19th-century rediscovery — and are tailored for classroom groups and organized outings. The Aquifer Tour is an extended, four-hour guided caving experience for participants who book in advance and meet required safety guidelines.
