On a cool morning at the Galston Rural Sports Facility, five small ponies line up like a curious convoy, noses twitching at the scent of gum leaves and damp earth. You meet your guide, learn to lead and read a pony's mood, then step onto a 4 km bridleway that skirts Fagan Park's rolling paddocks and garden beds. The ponies set the pace; the scrub and open pasture respond with birdsong and the occasional bell of distant livestock.

Suitable for most adults and teens in light to moderate physical condition; ability to walk 4 km on mixed terrain is required.
The guided loop is about 4 km and runs roughly three hours with stops; terrain is mostly flat to gently rolling and suitable for beginners.
Participants must be 12 or older; younger children are not recommended due to handling and safety requirements.
No prior experience is required — guides teach safe leading, grooming and basic pony handling before you head out.
