About This Adventure

Experience a unique one-hour Pony Encounter designed for children ages 2 and up, featuring hands-on instruction in grooming, tacking, and riding. Enjoy time in the saddle with friendly ponies, navigate fun obstacles, and even take a scenic trail walk. Parents can join the fun or relax nearby, creating lasting memories together.

About

  • One-hour lesson for children ages 2 and up includes detailed instruction on how to lead, groom, tack, and ride. Includes time in the saddle on our selection of safe and sound ponies, including Marshmallow, Mable The MiniMule, and Skippy The Wonder Horse.
  • Limited to two children per Encounter. If you have MORE THAN TWO CHILD RIDERS, please contact our office to add them. Call or Text 805-705-5458.
  • Adults can also participate in the Pony Encounter and will be given their own horse to ride in our arena alongside their child.
  • Riders follow our enclosed course, meander through fun obstacles, and learn the basics and joy of horseback riding. Parents can watch from the picnic table in our overlook area or participate at no charge.
  • Children ages 5 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Note, children that who already have a bike or skateboard helmets are encouraged to bring them.
  • We've included the option go on a short trail walk toward the river and woods, but you can opt out. Adults are welcome to ride along, too, but not required.
