The Pompeii ruins involve walking on uneven, ancient stone paths; sturdy shoes will keep you steady.
Weather can be changeable; a compact rain jacket keeps you dry during coastal or mountain shifts.
Capri’s open gardens and boat trips expose you to direct Mediterranean sun—hat and sunscreen are a must.
Stay hydrated on your walking and touring days, as water sources may not always be convenient.
Pompeii was buried by Mount Vesuvius’ eruption in 79 AD, preserving a vivid snapshot of Roman urban life.
