Up to a Four Hour Tour
Short on time??? You can make it quick or take your time. Travel from historic downtown Globe up paved route Ice House Canyon Rd. to dirt FR112. Ascend between the 1880 wagon route (visible to your left) and other early wagon routes to various mine operations on the North side of Pinal Mountain, ice collection ponds and Kellner Saw Mill (to your right) as you head into and over the eastern Pinal Mountains known as Pioneer Pass. Take a break under the pine tree canopy at 6,000ft and imagine this route as no stranger to infamous figures on the stage coach line excited to try their hand in the small mining camp of Globe. This route was typical for prisoner transports to Florence and Yuma Territorial facilities and questionable characters waiting around the boulders looking for a easy pay day near Sixshooter Canyon. Enjoy the fresh air, return the same route in time to continue your day.
UTVs must be returned with a full tank to avoid penalties; plan fueling stops accordingly.
