The day opens with salt on your lips and wind pushing at the buggy’s canvas — two-seat dune buggies sliding along Piñones’ sandy trails beneath rows of palms. The coast dares you to look away: blue water laps the shoreline while local kiosks dot the roadside with fritters and cold drinks. After the coastal hour, the landscape flips. The air grows thick and green as the group climbs into El Yunque National Forest, where trails thread between ancient rock and moss-slick roots and waterfalls cut clear basins into volcanic bedrock.
