The trail opens under a cathedral of larches; sunlight threads through branches and the mountain ahead—Mount Rosa—pushes the skyline into sharp relief. Participants set off from Saint-Jacques on a wood path that climbs into open meadows, where winds sweep the view and snow patches still hold late into spring.
