You arrive before the road reverses direction: red dust, bright sun and the steady roar of the Phnom Kulen waterfall drawing you uphill. The park opens like a landscape of contrasts — volcanic bedrock carved into channels, dense dry‑forest ridges and sudden cool pools where visitors strip off boots to stand under the cascade.

Yes — Phnom Kulen has its own national park ticket; standard Angkor Archaeological Park passes do not grant access here.
Tickets are delivered to your Siem Reap hotel the evening (from 17:00) prior to your scheduled visit and are valid the following day.
Children under 12 generally do not need a ticket for the national park but must show passport ID at the checkpoint to prove age.
Access up the park road is allowed in one direction from roughly 07:00–11:30; after 11:30 traffic reverses to allow exit. The park typically closes around 16:00.
