The van hums through a cold Philadelphia evening, headlights reflecting off wet cobblestones as the city dresses itself in holiday light. You move through Center City with a local guide at the wheel, stopping where the glow is thickest: the Museum of Art’s tree, the illuminated façade of City Hall, and the German-style market where garlands frame vendor stalls. Street-level displays in South Philly push past subtlety—whole houses become installations that dare you to keep walking.
