You step off the vehicle and the air changes: cool, mineral-rich and a little dusty, the canyon walls of the Siq closing in as the Treasury’s carved facade emerges from the shadow. This three-day loop from the Eilat border threads two of Jordan’s most elemental landscapes — the rose-red city of Petra and the lunar silence of Wadi Rum — with two nights that move from stone to sand.

The Siq to the Treasury is about 1.2 km (0.75 mi); expect a moderate-paced walk and additional distance if you visit Royal Tombs or the Monastery.
The 4–5 hour jeep tour is vehicle-based with short walks and easy scrambles at viewpoints; moderate mobility is sufficient, though Burdah Bridge areas involve steeper rock if you choose to climb.
Camps range from traditional Bedouin-style tents to structured campbeds with bedding and basic facilities; operators typically provide dinner, breakfast and water — bring personal toiletries and any required medications.
Petra was the Nabatean capital that controlled caravan routes and carved monumental facades from sandstone; Wadi Rum has long been home to Bedouin tribes and featured in the Lawrence of Arabia narrative.
