Kzoo Cat Cafe & Rescue is Kalamazoo's first cat cafe and a community-focused rescue organization. The cafe operates as a public cat lounge where visitors can enjoy beverages and snacks while interacting with adoptable rescue cats and kittens. Kzoo Cat Cafe & Rescue offers a range of experiences designed to support animal welfare and community engagement. Visitors can book a Cat Cafe Visit to meet adoptable cats, attend Yoga with Cats sessions that combine accessible yoga with post-class cat social time, or schedule a Kitty Nail Trim — a professional, 15-minute grooming service limited to three cats per appointment. The organization hosts special events that raise funds for rescue work. The 1st Annual KCCR SPAYghetti Dinner Fundraiser features salad, pasta, dessert, a silent auction, and a raffle to support feline care and placements. Rainbows of Remembrance is a Crafts with Cats gathering where participants make rainbow sun catchers in memory of feline companions; materials are provided and proceeds support rescue efforts. All experiences emphasize animal welfare, adoption opportunities, and community support. Kzoo Cat Cafe & Rescue maintains transparent booking and event descriptions so visitors know what to expect. Staff and volunteers focus on cat safety during visits, grooming, and events, and adoption-ready cats are available for qualified adopters. The cafe’s mix of hospitality, rescue programming, and fundraising events creates a practical way for the community to connect with cats and support local animal welfare. Prospective adopters should review adoption criteria and attend events to meet cats safely in person today.
