About Upper Reach Winery

At Upper Reach we believe that wine is one of life’s essentials - along with family, friends and good food. Awarded Gourmets Traveller's "Best Small Cellar Door" again in 2022, Upper Reach is a great example of a small boutique winery providing fantastic tasting and touring experiences for visitors. Upper Reach Winery's story is the creation of something from nothing, of crafting the whole - from growing the grapes to making the wines and finally sharing them with you. Upper Reach grows and cares for the grapes as they ripen; agonising over such things as irrigation and which day to hand pick the fruit. The owner is the Winemaker and grape grower, which allows greater control and vision through the entire process. Our aim with our wine is to highlight the character of our Swan Valley estate grown fruit, creating wines that are fresh, vibrant and full flavoured. Each wine reflects the vintage and our vineyard.

Dress Code

Sensible foot wear is recommended as there will be a bit of vineyard walking on an unpaved area, especially if arriving via helicopter. Our winery is also in full production, therefore the floors are sometimes wet, so flat non-slip shoes are recommended. The steel grates of the gangplanks above the winery tanks are not suitable for high heel shoes.

Weather Information

Our winery tour is an all weather event, in cool weather, a jacket is recommended as it gets very cold in the working section of the winery.

##3 Course Lunch Includes a choice of entrée, main & dessert from the Restaurant's seasonal menu. Sides are not included in the price. These can be purchased separately on the day.
