The palace and gardens of Peles Castle in Sinaia count among the most prestigious monuments of the world’s artistic heritage and are the finest and most complete achievement of 19th-century Romanian art. During the Peles Royal Castle and Wine Tasting Tour, you will see the best that Peles Castle has to offer in a company of a local friendly guide.

We will take you back to Romania’s Golden Age to the former summer residence of the Romanian Royal Family. It is a sumptuous royal palace home to the four of Romania’s Kings for over 60 years.

Peles Castle is an architectural mixture of the German School and neo-renaissance style. It has 160 rooms, opulently decorated in leather and wood from the most valuable tree species. The palace’s classic tour includes the ground floor with the impressive Hall of Honor, the weapons exhibition, the Royal Library, the Armour Hall, the Reception Hall, the Concert Hall, and some other richly decorated rooms.

With an extended tour ticket, you will visit the rooms on the first floor. The Imperial Apartment, the Princess Apartment, the Theater Hall, or the Painting Workshop of Queen Elizabeth are just some of the splendid royal rooms.

After having been dazzled by the splendors of the chateau, you will discover the famous Romanian traditional food and wine. Enjoy a visit with wine tasting of a local wine cellar and Savor your three-course lunch in an excellent local restaurant (not included - to order and pay a la carte on the spot).

  • Peles Castle is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays from September to March. For the rest of the year, Peles Castle is closed only on Mondays. On these days, Cantacuzino Castle in Busteni will be visited instead.
  • January 7 to February 29 and November 1 to December 15, at least 2 people are required for this activity to take place
  • If the minimum number of people is not reached, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund
