Dive into the heart of the Ocean off San Diego's coast for a special experience. The primary goal of this expedition is to swim alongside the elusive and majestic Mola Mola (Sunfish), one of the ocean's most enigmatic creatures. The offshore waters also offer incredible opportunities to witness bait balls and a variety of non-mammal pelagic species, providing a truly immersive encounter with marine life beyond the ordinary.

While the focus is on pelagic life, the open ocean holds more surprises. Depending on the season, you may also spot Gray Whales during the winter and spring, Blue Whales in the summer, and Humpback Whales in the fall, as well as various species of dolphins that frequent these waters year-round.

This unique excursion is designed for those eager to explore the pelagic ecosystem, far from the coastline and into the deep blue, where encounters with the ocean’s most fascinating creatures await.

Experience Level

Suitable for both beginners and intermediates. No scuba diving experience is necessary, but a familiarity with snorkeling and good physical condition is recommended.
