The platforms rattle a little as the attendants secure harnesses, then the four tandem sky-bikes push off and the Baja desert falls away beneath you. At 854 meters (2,802 ft) long and suspended over arid scrub and low cliffs, the Sky Bike trail turns ordinary pedaling into a small, sustained flight—wind in your face, desert scents drifting up from below, and the Pacific horizon a pale band on the edge of vision.
