If you plan to hike the Tam McArthur Rim trail, beginning the summer of 2021, everyone will need to register with the Cascade Wilderness Permit system. The camp grounds are managed by www.deschutesrecreation.gov The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife stocks the lake annually and to fish in the lake requires an Oregon Anglers permit available online.
Fishing is only allowed with a current Oregon Anglers permit, so be sure to purchase one in advance or onsite.
