Descrição: A Reserva Natural do Ilhéu de Vila Franca localiza-se na costa sul da ilha de São Miguel, concelho de Vila Franca do Campo, nos Açores. Constitui-se numa pequena ilhota vulcânica, a cerca de 500 metros da costa, e a 1200 metros da Marina da Vila, onde estamos localizados. Este sítio é uma das maiores atracções turísticas local e é procurado por todos os que nos visitam. O nosso Passeio ao Ilhéu consiste uma volta de barco em torno da reserva, acompanhado com um guia, onde se pode observar as formações rochosas vulcânicas que são de cortar a respiração e as aves marinhas que lá vivem e as que usam o local para nidificarem, como o Garajau-comum (sterna hirundo). Esta é sem dúvida uma experiência que não vai querer perder.
