ABOUT KAYAKING

Try kayak hire on Ullswater this summer!

Kayaking has been popular in the Lake District for years.

Our kayaks are a sit-on-top design (unlike canoes or 'sit-in' kayaks). The sit-on-top kayak is better for beginners, for learning, getting on and off and having fun!

Our single-seater and two-seater kayaks are stable and sturdy, and an easy way to explore Ullswater lake.

Whether you’re wanting to go fishing, fancy racing your mates, or just after a gentle family adventure, these little boats are perfect.

KAYAK SESSIONS

Kayak hire has two options - the single kayak for 1 person (145kg max weight) or the tandem kayak for 2 people (max 200g weight).

We require 1 adult per child in the case of kayak hire as this means in the event of a capsize, each adult can look after 1 child.

We recommend that dogs do not go on the kayaks as they are more liable to tip.

Whether you want to go fishing, fancy racing your mates, or you're just after a gentle family adventure, these little sturdy boats are perfect!

Ullswater is a beautiful place to explore by kayak and with a backdrop as epic as Helvellyn Hallin Fell and many more there is no better place to enjoy the freedom.
