The jeep rattles out of Paraty’s colonial core and into the green hush of Serra da Bocaina National Park — dirt road spray, sudden cliff-edge views and the click of camera shutters. First stop is White Stone Waterfall: a broad granite slab where locals practice rock-surfing and the water pools glassy and cool. Later, flat stones at Tobogã invite a slick, playful slide into clear basins. Between swims you’ll thread shaded tracks, pass stands of tall Jequitibá and reach a rustic alambic where cachaça is distilled and sampled.

The tour departs at 10:00 from Paraty Tours on Avenida Roberto Silveira 479, opposite Chafariz square; contact reservations for inn pickup availability.
Swimming is optional but common at White Stone Waterfall and Tobogã; participants can choose to stay on shore if they prefer not to enter the water.
Infants must sit on an adult’s lap; the tour is not recommended for pregnant travelers or those with spinal/serious heart conditions—moderate fitness is expected.
Lunch at a traditional restaurant and cachaça tasting at a local alambic are included; additional purchases at small shops may require cash.
