You step into the thin Alpine air in Mürren, strap into a tandem harness and, after a short hike to the take-off field, take a few running steps — then the valley takes you. Below, sheer limestone cliffs spill dozens of waterfalls that seem to lean toward your glider; the wind threads between the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, pushing you across a bowl carved by ice and time.
