You step from the minivan into humid, green air and the limestone cliffs of Phong Nha–Ke Bang rise like folded pages. A short golf-cart ride threads through low jungle; birds startle and the trail narrows toward a mouth of rock that seems to breathe. Inside Paradise Cave the light from the walkway pulls across columns and draperies; in the water cave later a dragon boat nudges an underground river and the boatman’s silhouette becomes a moving shadow in a silent chamber.
