You step off the golf cart into humid jungle air and the mountain seems to inhale around the cave mouth—then the entrance swallows the daylight. The tourist boardwalk carries you past ornate drips and banded columns for the first kilometre; beyond the gate, your headlamp becomes the day as you push deeper into a passage that in places opens to a ceiling 150m high and a floor 100m across.
