You step off the van onto a limestone terrace and the canyon opens: steep rock faces carve the Anapo valley and olive-scrub slopes drop toward a braided river far below. The air carries the dry, resinous scent of Mediterranean shrub and the hush of a landscape shaped by centuries of human hands and water.

The tour covers about 8–10 km on a circular loop with moderate elevation changes and short steep sections; total outing time is 6–7 hours and considered moderate difficulty.
Meeting is in Siracusa at Pantheon square by the steps of Pantheon church (Armando Diaz street) at 9:00; guides transfer the group to the reserve entrance.
Children 7+ may join; beginners with moderate fitness can participate, though good footwear and basic stamina are required.
