The day opens with the low rumble of a Jeep engine and the city of Da Nang shrinking behind you as the coastline and ridgelines come forward. The tour threads limestone karsts at Marble Mountains—just 7 km south of downtown—then climbs the hairpins of the Hai Van Pass where the East Sea spreads out like a dare. After lunch in Lang Co, the route swings to Son Tra Peninsula, driving a “forgotten road” past remnant US Army helicopter pads before arriving at Linh Ung Pagoda and its towering white statue of the Goddess of Mercy.
