During the expedition you'll learn the basics of field paleontology; fossil identification, surface mapping, and field search. During the drive to the fossil dig site, our guides will give you a fun, rich geologic history of the area.

About

Get your future paleontologist's feet wet! There is no age minimum (or maximum) but please be aware that that these programs involve walking on uneven terrain in remote areas. Our programs are fun for adults with an interest in paleontology, too! During the expedition, you'll learn fossil field science basics: mapping, and field search. You'll also learn about the local and geologic history on your way to our dig site! Book multiple days - the longer you're with us in the field, the more you'll learn!
