Salt spray on your lips, a small rib cutting the Aegean mirror — the day begins at the dive center in greater Athens with the hum of engines and the nervous laughter of new divers. By 9:00 or 13:00 you’ll slide into the Ionian-blue around Patroklos, Legrena and the rocky skirts of Arsidas, where caves and a submerged “cars graveyard” turn walls and wreckage into playgrounds for curious eyes.

Comfortable swimming ability and basic cardiovascular fitness; able to carry kit and perform repeated pool and open-water exercises.
You must be able to swim and be in good health; minors need parental consent. Certain medical conditions require physician approval before diving.
Scuba Diver certification allows dives to a maximum depth of 12 metres and you must dive under the supervision of a PADI professional.
Morning meeting is at 09:00 with return around 14:30; afternoon meeting is 13:00 with return around 21:00. Each option includes two ~35–40 minute open-water dives with a 30–40 minute surface interval.
SCUBA equipment is provided, but personal items like masks, snorkels and dive computers are welcome and recommended for comfort and hygiene.
Small islands off Attica have long been stopovers for coastal traffic; many submerged features reflect centuries of maritime use and local fishing traditions.
Practice no-touch diving, use reef-safe sunscreen and follow your instructor’s brief to limit reef contact and disturbance to bottom-dwelling species.
